Influenza (Flu)
The flu is an illness caused by influenza viruses and is spread easily from person-to-person. Anyone can get the flu but anyone with pre-existing medical conditions and children under 5 have an increased risk to become sicker. You can protect yourself and others by getting a yearly flu shot and taking other precautions.

COVID-19
COVID-19 is a respiratory disease that can cause severe illness. COVID-19 spreads easily from person to person. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) recommends the following to prevent COVID-19 infection:
Stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccines. Langlade County Health Department offers Immunization Clinics.
Get tested for COVID-19 if you develop symptoms or were exposed to someone with COVID-19.
Stay home if you have COVID-19.
Talk to your health care provider if you are at risk for sever illness from COVID-19.

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
RSV is a major cause of respiratory illness in all age groups. Among infants and young children, it is the most common cause of bronchitis, croup, and pneumonia. Both older adults as well as infants are most likely to get serious illness from RSV.
